I am sharing photos of golden shower flowers. These photos were taken at different locations and on different dates.

I am not very knowledgeable about flowers, so I hesitate to explain, but the golden shower can be seen not only in Thailand but also in many parts of Southeast Asia. It is also the national flower of Thailand.

Many small yellow flowers gather to form a cluster, and those clusters together decorate the branches, creating a very rich and beautiful appearance.

Personally, these flowers remind me of a Thai song called “Dok Khun Siang Kaen,” which has a style similar to Mor Lam. “Dok Khun” refers to the golden shower.

If I remember correctly, the song begins with something like, “Oh Isan, land of the red soil plains.” Both the lyrics and the melody were very beautiful.

Unfortunately, the cassette tape I bought about 40 years ago was damaged, and I can no longer listen to it. I later tried to find the song again in Thailand, but I could not find it on CD.

One day, I would like to recreate at least the melody from memory and convert it into a digital format.
