I am sharing images of Shwedagon Pagoda that I took during my trip to Myanmar in late April 2019.
There are many highlights at this temple, so this time I am only sharing images of the western entrance.
The lion statues standing on both sides of the entrance may be difficult to judge in size from the images, since there is nothing to compare them with, but they are extremely large. Even the claws on their front feet are impressive in scale.
This temple was not my main destination on this trip, and I only stayed in Yangon for one night, so I did not have enough time. It is a pity that I could not take any night photos.
I will share images of the inside of the temple on another occasion.
